About Us

Since 1978, Sierra Pediatric Therapy Clinic has been
providing quality care for handicapped children as well
as support, understanding and hope for parents. We are a teaching facility in conjunction with the University of the
Pacific, California State University of Sacramento, Sacramento City College and Sierra College. Effort has also been directed towards improving community understanding of handicapped children and their potential for a better quality of life.

Developing normal movement patterns and facilitating cognitive development are the focus of treatment at the clinic.

Before treatment begins with a child, all areas of involvement are assessed. An individual program is developed based on the child's assets and disabilities as well as information from individuals working with the child. Parents are important members of the treatment team. They need to understand their child's difficulties and participate fully in the treatment and recovery of their child.
