Centeral Nervous System (CNS) involvement encompasses many disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, Genetic Disorders & Austism.
Sensory Integration problems in the infant and toddler are also treated at the clinic. All of our information about the world comes from our many senses (eyes, ears, nose, mouth, muscles). Children with very mild to severe central nervous system problems can have difficulty processing this information which may lead to learning disabilities and behavioral problems.
Sierra Pediatric Therapy Clinic uses a team approach when treating the children. It is composed of the parents, child, teachers and therapists. The goal is improved sensory/motor patterns which helps to improve and maintain range of motion, strength, and balance. The goal, when possible, is independence.
The staff at Sierra Pediatric Therapy Clinic believes that through hope, encouragement, and positive direction, each child can reach his/her maximum potential.
